affiliate_marketingWhen running PPS affiliate programs there is a formula that must be kept in mind, namely: WHAT PRODUCT match with WHAT KEYWORD!

If a product has found a match with the keywords, so that’s we will see the benefits. This benefit called as CONVERSION RATIO.

How do we find out the Conversion Ratio?

The answer is TESTING!


Example: You find a product you’d like to marketed. Let’s say for example, HDTV.

Next, do the TEST.

The first step: Do research!

1. What keywords are associated with HDTV.
2. Who is the target market of HDTV?
3. Where is the HDTV market targets? What is their language? Etc. … Research as detail as possible.

The second step: Put your ad (in Adwords or other PPC in accordance with the target market, HDTV) by using keywords that have been selected when doing research.

Say selected keywords for HDTV are: hdtv, lcd hdtv, hdtv plasma, etc..

The third step: Consider the ad, and then calculate the conversion ratio, find the winner! Of each keyword that we aim at is: hdtv, lcd hdtv, hdtv plasma, etc.. certainly will provide its own traffic, with different volume.

For example: the keyword “lcd hdtv”: there are 5 million searches per month, while the keyword “plasma hdtv”: there are 1.5 million searches per month.

Different numbers of highly significant results! (The above are only examples, not the actual search results).

After the ads run, for example, proved every 500 click ads on the keyword ‘lcd hdtv’ occurs 1 sales. While for the keyword ‘plasma hdtv’ takes 10 clicks to occur 1 sales.

CONVERSION ratios vastly different.

Here we are able to determine the winner of the keyword ‘plasma hdtv’ because it can generate sales with just 10 clicks.

In the case above we can conclude that the keyword search results may not be so many beneficial or appropriate to our products, and vice versa, a few keywords seeker should not underestimated, because it could be the winner and provide benefits.

When doing testing, you may immediately get a lot of keywords that provide benefits. Or vice versa, all the selected keywords are not producing at all and instead make you lose. This is common in business, and all this can be known only by doing TESTING.

My advice, do it very carefully when making a selection of keywords from the beginning before testing.

If you are experiencing this matter, get a lot of clicks but no sales occur, what should be done? Are keywords that can generate 500 clicks have to be removed?

Do not be thrown away yet! It is the MARKET!

You’ve got the market, now living find products suitable for the market!

Back again to the formula: WHAT PRODUCT match with WHAT KEYWORD.

The market has already there, now you have to looking for a suitable product. Find products were roughly matched keywords that have been producing this traffic.

Most beginners make the mistake by removing the keywords provide many clicks but no sales.

My advice, create a new ad Campaign with the same keywords, but different products. Perform testing again, and find out conversion ratio! Does it provide benefits or not?

How long do we have to do testing?

Testing is usually assessed from every 100 clicks. If we get 100-200 clicks but no sales occur, could have determined that keyword does not match with our marketed products.

Testing, often a source of idleness for every marketer, because he know when doing this testing there is no assurance can directly generate sales, sometimes even a loss. Most people wanted immediate profit for their Internet Marketing Business.

For beginners may feel difficult at first, but if trained on, testing and testing, practice and practice, then one day ‘instinct’ to get the right market will come by itself! ‘Instinct’ can not be explained in theory, because it comes with a sense. ‘Feeling easy’ it would only obtained by someone after doing MUCH PRACTICE.
